Taylor talks Transformers 2 absense
With Moviehole, Transformers star Rachael Taylor shares why she will not be appearing in the blockbuster pic’s sequel. “I wasn’t contracted for a sequel anyway, but I also think it would be pretty ridiculous for my character just to show up and say ‘We’ve got some more computers to play with!’,” explains the actress. “More importantly, I don’t think I’d wanna do it to be honest, and not for any particular reason other than the fact that I’ve done it. I’m just drawn to doing different things.”
Hill no longer in talks for Transformers 2
It had been reported that Jonah Hill was in discussions with DreamWorks regarding a role in Transformers 2. According to Entertainment Weekly, those conversations have broken down. Hence, Hill is no longer expected to play a sidekick to Shia LaBeouf’s character Sam Witwicky in next summer’s sequel.
Constructicons to appear in Transformers 2
IESB has the scoop that in Michael Bay’s Transformers 2, the villainous Decepticons will be joined by Constructicons. In the property’s cartoons, the Constructicons’ identities were Scrapper, Bonecrusher, Scavenger, Mixmaster, Hook and Long Haul. Together, the robots combined to form the gigantic Devastator. IESB likewise presents casting breakdowns for the sequel’s new human characters.
Transformers 2 to film in Philadelphia?
Coming Soon points to Main Line Today, where word arrives that Transformers 2 may film in Philadelphia. Other features being eyed for Philadelphia filming include Remorse, Three Sistas, M. Night Shyamalan’s Avatar series and Marley and Me. “The film industry is [an] increasingly lucrative [thing] for government to em-brace,” acknowledges Sharon Pinkenson, executive director of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office. “We already have a reputation as the most cooperative and film-friendly city in the business. Having these tax incentives adds to our attraction. Right now, we’re looking at applications for six to eight films to begin in June, and more to follow.”
