Guru shows ‘love’ for viral marketing
Inspired by Oprah, Guru Pitka of The Love Guru has started his own book club, at PitkasBookClub.com. For the month of May, Pitka recommends the self-penned publication Does It Hurt When You Do That? Don’t Do That. Meanwhile, one may also visit the Mariska Hargitay Shop, filling every mantra need, before joining Guru Pitka at his Facebook page. The Love Guru will open in theaters on June 20.
Myers to host 2008 MTV Movie Awards
MTV announces via Coming Soon that Mike Myers will host the 2008 MTV Movie Awards. Executive produced by Mark Burnett, the seventeenth annual show will premiere live on MTV, Sunday, June 1st. “I’ve spent the last year and a half of my life having the most fun ever working on The Love Guru, and now I’m thrilled to have the chance to work with Judy McGrath, Van Toffler and Mark Burnett,” said Myers. “Hosting the MTV Movie Awards is like a party, but without having to do beer runs in your mom’s mini van; we do beer runs in Will Smith’s four-story motor home.”
