Fans not pleased with Fanboys decision
The Weinstein Co. has announced that it will release two versions of the film Fanboys. That decision, however, is not pleasing all fans, writes The Hollywood Reporter. It seems that many of them are upset with Weinstein’s choice to edit and reshoot a percentage of Fanboys. One particular item of the feature that has been cut involves one of the characters having cancer. “Harvey feels it’s hard to market, especially with this cast,” clarified an insider. “He wants to market to a more teen audience. The filmmakers wanted a dramedy along the vein of Stand by Me.”
Terminator Salvation plot details
Cinema Blend has the scoop regarding the plot for Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. The site’s source states that Kyle Reese, to be played by Anton Yelchin, will be the central character of the new Terminator films. “Just like the Star Wars prequels when it was the relationship between Anakin and Obi Wan that drove the three films, that’s the concept for the new Terminator films when its between the relationship of Kyle and John, who is really father and son but with the moral dilemma with John knowing what has to be done in order for him to be born,” the source elaborates.
In addition, the report includes the info that the new Terminator movies “will also address the terminators and their evolution including the terminators of the first three films” and may feature direct connections to the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series.

With Entertainment Weekly, George Lucas reveals some interesting tidbits about the upcoming Star Wars live-action television series. Regarding the show’s association with the blockbuster Star Wars trilogies, Lucas elaborates, “The live-action has [none of the characters from the Star Wars movies], because it’s after Episode III, so everybody’s dead, basically, or hiding somewhere.” Still, he admits, “Some of the characters from the features find their way in there, so it’s not completely divorced.”

Coming Soon had the opportunity to chat with George Lucas about the upcoming animated and live-action Star Wars television series. Interestingly, the possibility of a new Star Wars film trilogy was raised, with Lucas responding that he has no story for such since the tale of Anakin Skywalker has been told.
