Spiderwick Chronicles DVD artwork
DVDActive delivers the cover artwork for the one-disc and two-disc DVD editions of The Spiderwick Chronicles. At this time, bonus features for both packages have yet to be revealed. Directed by Mark Waters, Spiderwick Chronicles stars Freddie Highmore, Sarah Bolger, David Strathairn and Mary-Louise Parker, while featuring the voices of Martin Short and Seth Rogen. The film will be available to own on June 24.
Pineapple Express, Spirit posters
JoBlo showcases the one-sheet for Pineapple Express, starring Seth Rogen, James Franco and Danny R. McBride. Produced by Judd Apatow, the comedy will enter theaters on August 8th.
In other poster news, Coming Soon/Superhero Hype! premieres the teaser outdoor artwork for The Spirit, opening in theaters on January 16, 2009. The film’s three posters unite to form a banner revealing the title character’s silhouette.

Judd Apatow has tapped Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann to star in the next comedy he has written and will direct, says Variety. At this time, a name and plot for the film have yet to be publicly announced. The Apatow project will be a co-production of Universal Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment, with production beginning in late summer or early fall.
Seth Rogen hired to Observe and Report
For Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, Seth Rogen will star in the comedy Observe and Report, broadcasts Variety. Written and to be directed by Jody Hill, the synopsis for the project “centers on Ronnie Barnhardt, a deluded, self-important head of mall security who squares off in a turf war against the local cops.”
