Jimmy Fallon, the next host of Late Night
Fox News reports that former Saturday Night Live cast member Jimmy Fallon will replace Conan O’Brien as the host of Late Night in May 2009. Fallon has yet to choose a producer and a band for his series. As for O’Brien, he will take Jay Leno’s spot as the host of The Tonight Show.
‘Live from New York, it’s Thursdsay Night!’
Cinema Blend reports that NBC has ordered Saturday Night Live - in the form of a Thursday night offering. SNL Thursday Night Live is scheduled to air Thursdays this fall after The Office. The first of three live half-hour installments will arrive October 16.

During last weekend’s edition of Saturday Night Live, series regular Andy Samberg introduced his latest SNL Digital Short, titled Hero Song. Meeting a positive reception from the show’s fans, the video reveals Samberg playing a rich hero wannabe who decides to defend his city while sporting a costume seemingly inspired by the comic book character Nightwing and/or Robin in Batman & Robin. Jorma Taccone to play Cha-ka in Lost
JoBlo has discovered that Hot Rod and Saturday Night Live star Jorma Taccone will play “simian-like cavemen guide” Cha-ka in director Brad Silberling’s big screen adaptation of Land of the Lost. Other members of the film’s cast include Will Ferrell, Danny McBride and Anna Friel.
