Speed Racer mockumentary hits Target
SCI FI Wire has learned via Speed Racer producer Joel Silver that Target stores will sell a 20-minute documentary focusing on the characters in the Wachowski brothers’ film. Silver explains, “It’s a 20-minute documentary about the Racer family, with all the cast as the characters, not as the actors. It’s a mockumentary, and it’s great. And that’ll be lengthened for the DVD.”
Silver talks Wonder Woman movie
With IESB, Speed Racer producer Joel Silver shared some tidbits regarding the future of Wonder Woman. Apparently Matthew Jennison and Brent Strickland are working on a new screenplay for the feature. Unlike their previous attempt at a Wonder Woman film, the duo will not set the project in World War II. Instead, Silver suggests that the movie may explore Wonder Woman’s background.
Justice League no more?
According to CHUD, producer Joel Silver has confirmed that George Miller’s live-action Justice League film has been “tabled.” While the project may still happen, it will likely be in the distant future, without cast members Adam Brody, Common, Armie Hammer and Megan Gale.
