Juno, Savages honored at Spirit Awards

The 2008 Independent Spirit Awards awarded Juno the prize of Best Feature, on Saturday, February 23. The film’s star, Ellen Page, picked up Best Female Lead, while its screenwriter, Diablo Cody, won Best First Screenplay. Julian Schnabel was honored with Best Director for his work on The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. As for The Savages, star Philip Seymour Hoffman received Best Male Lead, while writer Tamara Jenkins took Best Screenplay.
