Lionsgate gets Christmas Spirit
Variety reports that Lionsgate has rescheduled The Spirit from January 16 to December 25. Frank Miller’s adaptation of Will Eisner’s comic strip will now face the Adam Sandler comedy Bedtime Stories and the Jennifer Aniston-Owen Wilson starrer Marley and Me.

The teaser trailer for The Spirit is now available at MTV.com. Meanwhile, the movie’s teaser posters may be found at Ain’t It Cool News and Yahoo! Movies. Directed by Frank Miller, The Spirit, based on Will Eisner’s classic hero, will hit theaters on January 16, 2009.
Miller updates Spirit site with fourth blog
Coming Soon points out that writer/director Frank Miller has updated the official website for Will Eisner’s The Spirit. The site now contains a fourth Production Blog, in which Miller explains his vision for The Spirit’s main love interest, Ellen Dolan. In the feature, Dolan will be portrayed by Sarah Paulson (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip).
