Cinematical has exclusively received the final poster for the praised film Smart People, starring Dennis Quaid, Sarah Jessica Parker, Ellen Page and Thomas Haden Church. From director Noam Murro comes the story of “a widowed professor (Quaid) who’s life takes an unexpected turn when his adopted brother (Church) shows up for a visit.”

Lohman takes Page’s place in Hell


Alison Lohman has replaced Ellen Page in director Sam Raimi’s horror film Drag Me to Hell, shows The Hollywood Reporter. “Lohman will play a woman who is the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse in the story written by Raimi and his brother, Ivan.” As reported earlier, Page dropped out of Hell last week, with reports varying as to the reason of her leaving.

Ellen Page leaves Hell


Bloody Disgusting reports that Ellen Page has left Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell. The site was told that “she didn’t like the latest draft of the script,” while a press release at Ain’t It Cool News announces scheduling conflicts to be the case for Page’s leaving.

Juno, Savages honored at Spirit Awards


The 2008 Independent Spirit Awards awarded Juno the prize of Best Feature, on Saturday, February 23. The film’s star, Ellen Page, picked up Best Female Lead, while its screenwriter, Diablo Cody, won Best First Screenplay. Julian Schnabel was honored with Best Director for his work on The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. As for The Savages, star Philip Seymour Hoffman received Best Male Lead, while writer Tamara Jenkins took Best Screenplay.
