Lex Luther exists Smallville
After seven seasons of portraying Superman villain Lex Luther, Michael Rosenbaum is leaving the CW network’s Smallville, says Kryptonsite. While the actor will no longer be a series regular, an official statement suggested that Rosenbaum may still have an occasional appearance in Smallville. Replacing Luther as the antagonist of the show will be the legendary Doomsday and a female antagonist whose “mutual attraction with Clark [Kent] may prove to be as deadly as kryptonite for him.”
Marshall to Drive for Universal
Doomsday director Neil Marshall will helm Drive for Universal, says Variety. Based on the James Sallis novel, the plot focuses on “a Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway car driver in heists.” Hugh Jackman will play the lead in Drive, adapted by Hossein Amini.
Neil Marshall to direct Sacrilege
Variety reports that Neil Marshall will follow-up his latest directorial project Doomsday, in this theaters this Friday, with Sacrilege for Focus Features. Marshall will write and direct the film, described as a horror movie set in the Old West. “It is set during the Gold Rush, a time remembered for incidents like the Donner Party,” Marshall said. “It is meant to be a pitch-black, gritty, period horror movie.”
Hulk teaser trailer coming Wedneday, March 12
Universal Pictures has announced via Coming Soon that the teaser trailer for The Incredible Hulk will debut online and on television Wednesday, March 12. The spot will air at approximately 9:56 p.m. EDT/6:56 p.m. PDT on MTV, MTVU, MTV2, VH1, Spike TV, Nick at Nite and CMT. Afterward, the trailer will immediately be able to view at MTV.com, before showing in theaters nationwide on Friday, March 14, with prints of Rogue Pictures’ Doomsday.
