Fans not pleased with Fanboys decision

The Weinstein Co. has announced that it will release two versions of the film Fanboys. That decision, however, is not pleasing all fans, writes The Hollywood Reporter. It seems that many of them are upset with Weinstein’s choice to edit and reshoot a percentage of Fanboys. One particular item of the feature that has been cut involves one of the characters having cancer. “Harvey feels it’s hard to market, especially with this cast,” clarified an insider. “He wants to market to a more teen audience. The filmmakers wanted a dramedy along the vein of Stand by Me.”
