Variety reports that Jason Bateman will star in the comedy Extract, written and to be directed by Mike Judge. Judge’s new shingle, Ternion Productions, which he formed with writer-producers John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky, will develop the project thanks to a finance and development deal with Media Rights Capital. “Extract explores what it’s like to be the boss when everything seems to be shifting around you.” Miramax will distribute the pic in North America.
